Vrije Universiteit Brussel (VUB) contributes to MultiRoofs through FARI – AI for the Common Good Institute, a joint initiative of VUB and ULB that brings together expertise in artificial intelligence, data, and robotics. Drawing on its involvement in research projects at Brussels, Belgian and European levels, FARI connects MultiRoofs with a broad network of expertise covering not only technology, but also the ethical, societal and legal dimensions of digital innovation. Its strong links with public administrations and the wider European AI and Digital Twin ecosystem provide valuable support for collaboration and knowledge exchange across the project.

Within MultiRoofs, VUB takes the lead on communication, coordinating how the project’s activities, progress and results are shared across the partnership and with external audiences. Building on FARI’s experience in communicating research initiatives, pilot projects, events and training programmes, VUB helps ensure that the knowledge generated by MultiRoofs reaches relevant stakeholders. The university also contributes to the joint training programme, notably through FARI’s CAVE (Computer Augmented Virtual Environment), an immersive visualisation environment that can support interactive and engaging training activities. Through this combination of communication expertise and innovative visualisation technologies, VUB helps make MultiRoofs’ results accessible, understandable and transferable beyond the project itself.
